Housebreaking Suspects arrested BACKENFELL
The Roman control room in Brackenfell received a call from a Brackenfell resident on Saturday morning 29 August reporting a suspicious looking vehicle in Angelier Street Protea Heights.
Armed reaction officer Wally Smith was dispatched and on his way attracted the attention of the SAPS who joined him on the investigation. On their arrival they found four males and two females with a vehicle at the reported address. On confronting them they claimed that their vehicle broke down and that they were waiting for assistance. The members asked for their vehicle to be searched and discovered stolen property, including computer equipment, car radios and GPS navigation units of an undisclosed value in their possession. All the suspects were arrested by SAPS and taken into custody. According to other sources another two arrests were made later on that day.
